What about the recent harvard study on anti-oxidants: they might even stimulate tumorcells!!!

    Hi Stella,
If you read a lot of these various studies, you’ll notice a lot of them use words like “might” or “there may be.” We do not believe that anti-oxidants cause any type of stimulation to cancer cells; in fact its quite the opposite. Eating more fruits, veggies, nuts and seeds in their raw form is probably one of the best things you can do for your body. These foods are natural, straight from the earth, and can do wonders for your health. We recommend giving it a try and then listening to your body, then judging for yourself.

We can say with all certainty that your body will get more nutrients from the aforementioned whole natural foods than from anything sprayed with pesticides, processed, frozen, and prepackaged.

Good luck to you in your journey to health and wellness. Peace & veggies!

I love the bonus… ‘you’ll never burn your mouth on raw foods’. Now only if my sometimes uncoordinated lips would cooperate so I wouldn’t bite them from time to time… ;-)

I just want the scientific reasons for going raw. What was that doctor on the 1930s who was the first to discover that the immune system reacts to cooked food like it is a foreign invasion? Now that peaked my interest. Heard about it on Food Matters which I was also suspicious about thinking alll. The MLM-ers were having a field day selling their super foods with this movie.

hi, I’m currently a vegan, and was wondering what the difference is(appart from not burning your tongue, of course)and health benefits of just eating raw food?

Hi Racheal! The raw food movement is built upon the foundation that you can absorb more vitamins and nutrients from fruits and veggies in their raw form. There is a book by David Wolfe called Eating for Beauty that illustrates this perfectly! There is also another book, (don’t laugh) The Idiot’s Guide to Raw Food. The title is fun but the book has a lot of introductory information on why raw food is so amazing. We would recommend starting there.

Interesting article with some valid suggestions. However, “reason number 2″ is wrong as unless you are prepared to only eat raw dirt, all the plants you consume were once living. Therefore, something did die in order for you to eat today, except that it didn’t have a face so it’s still easier to sleep at night.
